The SixFinger Foundation today announced a partnership with Suncoast Cancer Institute of Sarasota, Florida. This partnership will expand The SixFinger Foundation’s Palliative Swag Campaign of distributing specially curated items at no cost to alleviate, satisfy and support patients and their loved ones when facing cancer.
“ Suncoast Cancer Institute is excited to be chosen as a recipient of The SixFinger Foundation’s ‘Palliative Swag.’ These gift bags will go a long way in comforting our patients as they move through their diagnosis and treatment” said Amy Akins, BSN, RN, OCN – Chemotherapy Nurse. “As patients and their families join our practice, it is nice to be able to provide them a comforting distraction. We truly believe a little bit goes a long way and we appreciate this partnership allowing us that extra diversion.”
The SixFinger Foundation made an initial donation to the Suncoast Cancer Institute of Candles of Hope poetry anthologies, Candles of Hope Colouring Books accompanied by Crayola coloring pencils and tactile puzzles.
